Born in Slovakia on December 28, 2011, Loki joined the New Castle County Division in February 2013. According to the division’s announcement, he was a dual-trained canine excelling in narcotics detection and tracking. Loki spent five years partnered with Master Corporal Robert Williams before an on-the-job injury led to his early retirement in 2018. Throughout his service, Loki was recognized for his remarkable abilities, resulting in various apprehensions and significant seizures of drugs and money.
After retiring, Loki lived with M/Cpl. Williams, where he continued to be a beloved protector and companion. The loss is clearly deeply felt, as reflected in the division's memorial post, which emphasized that K9 Loki's contributions to the Division and the community will never be forgotten.
