The New Castle County Police are seeking the public's help to identify a suspect connected to a recent exposure incident in the Brookside Park area. The call for assistance was shared on the department's social media accounts, detailing an unsettling event that occurred last Friday.
According to the post from New Castle County Police, around 2:15 p.m. on June 27, patrol officers received and responded to a report from a 12-year-old child. The victim, accompanied by a parent, recounted seeing a white male suspect near the footbridge in Brookside Park who then proceeded to commit an act of indecent exposure. The police were unable to locate the individual immediately following the report.
The suspect has been described as a roughly 40–45-year-old white male, about 6 feet in height with an average build. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and black shorts, topped with a red baseball cap with black stitching. Additionally, the suspect may be associated with a red bike.
Authorities have conducted a comprehensive sweep of the area, yet have come up empty-handed in their search for both the suspect and the red bicycle.
