On Monday, Pasadena police released additional details on the unsolved 2021 shooting of 13-year-old Iran Moreno who was tragically killed while playing video games in his bedroom. CBS News reported newly enhanced surveillance footage led to the identification of the suspect's vehicle, a gray Ford Fusion made between 2017 and 2020, with a partial license plate number of QJ117. Iran, described as a straight-A student who enjoyed basketball and soccer, was not believed to be the intended target of the gunfire, according to police statements.
The suspect, described as a Black male between 33 to 37 years old, was last seen in surveillance footage wearing a distinctive red and black North Face hoodie and is approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs between 185 and 195 pounds, this is according to, KTLA. In a heartbreaking recount by a family friend Maria Munguia, "He grew up such a loving kid with the biggest smile on his face," paid tribute to the boy's bright spirit in 2021 following the tragic incident.
The Pasadena Police Department continues to seek the public's assistance in solving the case. They have extended the call to anyone who might have vital information about the suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting to come forward.
