
Authorities are calling on the public for assistance in identifying suspects in a recent aggravated assault case in Philadelphia's 9th District. The Central Detective Division released video clips and still photos of the incident, which unfolded late in the evening on June 12. According to the official blurb from the Philadelphia Police Department, around 10:45 pm, the victims were subjected to a sudden and brutal attack while walking on the 1500 block of Chestnut Street, as per the Philadelphia Police Department.
The attack began when the alleged assailants doused the victims with a liquid and relentlessly escalated to punching and kicking. The assault culminated in one of the victims sustaining a severe injury, being struck on the head with an object still unidentified by the police, which led to a substantial laceration. While providing details of the vicious attack, the police have yet to specify the type of liquid thrown on the victims.
In their appeal for public support, the Philadelphia Police have urged anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the individuals in the video to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously, allowing those with knowledge of the incident to aid in the pursuit of justice without fear of exposure.
