
Philadelphia authorities are on the lookout for a suspect involved in a commercial burglary incident that occurred on Sunday, June 8. According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the robbery took place at a business on the 6400 block of Harbison Avenue, with police officers responding to the scene at approximately 4:43 p.m.
Earlier that day, a male suspect, impersonating a law enforcement officer, entered the business around 2:11 p.m. Victims report, while impersonating the suspect zip-tied a 50-year-old female before fleeing with roughly $1,000 in currency. He escaped in a distinct white Ford E-250 van and was last seen heading north on Harbison Avenue towards Roosevelt Boulevard. As of now, no arrests have been made as the investigation by Northeast Detectives continues.
The suspect is described as a white male, donning a black baseball cap with a US flag, black sunglasses, a long-sleeve black shirt, gloves, a black tactical vest marked with "Security Enforcement Agent," and dark green cargo pants. The vehicle he used to make his escape is a white Ford E250, notable for its tinted windows, lack of a rear window, rear and passenger side cargo doors secured with padlocks, and distinctive red dashes along its mid-line.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to come forth. The 50-year-old female victim, who experience the harrowing ordeal, was luckily not seriously injured during the incident.
