Dorian Jeri-Greene, the man accused of a chilling murder in Rostraver, was transferred to Westmoreland County Prison following the dismissal of unrelated charges in Washington County. As reported by WPXI, during a preliminary hearing by video on Wednesday morning, charges stemming from a February incident in Donora were dropped after the victim chose not to move forward with the case or testify.
Having dropped the charges, Jeri-Greene still remains incarcerated, now preparing to face a judge next week for the murder accusation. Transported from Washington County Jail, as deputies from Westmoreland County picked him up, they brought him to the facility where better security can be provided for his hearing. According to information from WPXI, the hearing was initially set for Friday but has been rescheduled to Monday at 1 p.m. at the county courthouse rather than the district court.
Jeri-Greene is at the center of a harrowing case, accused of taking the life of Jennah Seibert, a 24-year-old residing in Rostraver, after her fiancé, Bryan Murray, left for work on April 11. Details provided by TribLIVE sketch a narrative where the suspect allegedly broke into Seibert's home and disrupted the power supply before committing the murder and fleeing with stolen jewelry.
Court papers reveal the trail led authorities to Tampa, Florida, where Jeri-Grene was located after he pawned the stolen items on May 2 and 3. He was arrested on May 13 and extradited back to Pennsylvania last month. While originally identified as a resident of Carroll Township, Washington County, he is now listed with a Maryland address. A preliminary hearing concerning the Rostraver murder is scheduled for next Monday, with Jeri-Greene not having an attorney listed in court records at the time of reporting.
