The Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation is throwing its 13th annual gala on October 17, and this time, they're celebrating a half-century of legal service by one Clark A. Andrews, J.D., of O'Reilly Rancilio PC. "Puttin' on the Ritz," a black-tie optional affair to be held at Villa Penna, promises an evening of dining, drinks, live entertainment, and silent auctions from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., according to the City of Sterling Heights.
Andrews isn't just being honored for his work in the legal arena but also for his volunteer efforts throughout Macomb County, the Foundation's executive director, Karl G. Oskoian noted that Andrews "left an indelible mark" through leadership and mentorship, lauding his "selfless approach to improving the quality of life" for local citizens, Andrews' contribution seems to stretch far and wide including assistance to various school districts and community organizations in the region, an accomplishment worthy of the Mayor Richard J. Notte Civic Service Leadership Award of 2025, the honor highlights those who have made significant civic contributions in the spirit of the award's namesake, as per the City of Sterling Heights.
The "Puttin' on the Ritz" Gala was first held back in 2013 to honor the then-Mayor Richard J. Notte who served Sterling Heights for 20 years, and since Notte's passing in 2015, the annual Civic Service Leadership Award in his name continues to recognize leaders in the community who exemplify Notte's dedication and values, past honorees include Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, various healthcare institutions, and figures from local government and education sectors who've all played parts in enriching the community's fabric.
