A man identified as Christian Campbell, 29, has been arrested following two separate shooting incidents, one at a convenience store in Gastonia, and another at a car enthusiast gathering in Forest City. According to WBTV, the Gastonia shooting occurred at Jacob’s Food Mart on South Marietta Street, where Campbell allegedly walked in and shot an employee in the arm at approximately 12:39 p.m. on Friday. The victim, reportedly having raised an arm in defense which "most likely saved his life," survived the ordeal and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The same suspect was later involved in a second shooting in Forest City, which occurred after he had fled the scene in a 2019 Honda Civic. Despite the possible intent to kill, a brief standoff ensued, resulting in Campbell's arrest on Saturday afternoon. As noted by WCNC, details on the Forest City shooting have not yet been released.
