The Coahoma County Fire Department responded to the scene after getting a report of the accident at approximately 11:56 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that the driver had been extricated from the truck by bystanders, negating the imminent threat of a more dire outcome. The driver was then transported to a local hospital, having sustained injuries that were thankfully non-life-threatening. Paramedics delivered initial medical care on location, as firefighters from Jonestown, Lula, and Lyon lent assistance, according to details shared by WREG.
Meanwhile, the Coahoma County Fire Department has released photographs of the scene depicting the 18-wheeler on its side.
