As ClickOrlando reports, the haunted house based on the dystopian show will feature a journey through Vault 33, replete with the bloody struggles of familiar characters like Lucy MacLean and encounters with sinister surface dwellers like scavengers and raiders.
With another nod to the post-apocalyptic genre's dark fantasies, Universal announced on Thursday that Halloween Horror Nights will begin its frightening festivities on August 29. Being prepared by Universal Orlando Resort to scare the wits out of visitors, this event will take place just a week after the resort opened its fourth theme park, Universal Epic Universe. According to WESH, "Fallout" fans will walk in the footsteps of the series' protagonist MacLean, first navigating her deadly vault escape and eventually dodging attacks from violent survivors on the surface.
The "Fallout" haunted house is only the beginning. Universal Orlando Resort promises a total of 10 haunted houses, along with scare zones and live entertainment, filling out the 48 select nights of the event. Tickets are already available for those eager to traverse the Wasteland, with the terror running through select nights from Aug. 29 until Nov. 2. Being true to the "Fallout" universe, encounters are promised to be authentic enough to make fans question their potential escape from the hellscape they've entered.
Universal is not resting on the laurels of only one successful video game-turned-TV-series-turned-haunted house. On Sunday, they teased that "Five Nights at Freddy's" is poised to terrify guests in a "whole new way this year." The nature of the experience, while shrouded in mystery, suggests an emerging strategy where gaming and horror enthusiasts converge on Halloween Horror Nights for a blend of jump scares and joyrides.
