The University of Tennessee has laid out the details for many of the 2025 season's game times, and while some uncertainty remains with the flex scheduling, Vols enthusiasts can now start to plan their autumn Saturdays with a bit more precision. Early games against Syracuse on August 30th and a homecoming clash with New Mexico State on November 15th are locked in, as per an announcement from the SEC Network.
Not content with simple schedule releases, the SEC Network is adding a twist by flexing five of Tennessee's games. These include matchups at Mississippi State, Arkansas, Alabama, at Florida, and a home game against Oklahoma, all with kickoff times still fluttering in the breeze between 3:30 and 8 p.m., according to UTSports. Season tickets might be sold out for the third year in a row, but fans are redoubling their efforts to secure some skin in the game by filling out interest forms for 2026.
In terms of the full schedule, Tennessee packs a punch with its season opener against Syracuse in Atlanta during what promises to be a marquee triple-header lineup. This clash at noon on ABC will be followed by heavyweight bouts featuring Alabama vs. Florida State and LSU vs. Clemson, as noted by ON3. Meanwhile, the SEC opener against Georgia on September 13, which doubles as the 'Checker Neyland' game, stands out as a fan-favorite fixture.
Flipping forward to October 25, the Vols will confront Kentucky in a night game, promising an electric atmosphere under the bright lights of Kroger Field – a setting where Tennessee has thrived with two consecutive wins during Josh Heupel's tenure. Aside from on-field action, the team will also pay homage during this season, featuring a Salute to Service weekend against New Mexico State and a moment honoring College Football Hall of Fame inductee, John Henderson, during the Georgia game weekend, remarked ON3.
