Arlington's community builders are marking their calendars for an important engagement, the Neighborhood Leadership Network meeting scheduled for early August. Slated to take place on Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the meeting invites neighborhood leaders across the city to congregate at City Hall's Council Chamber. The focus is on nurturing connections, sharing strategies on neighborhood issues, and fostering a closer partnership with city officials.
As outlined in an announcement published by the City of Arlington, the gathering is part of the quarterly sessions organized by the Arlington Neighborhood Engagement Program. This installment will feature discussions on the City’s Form-based Code pilot program, current economic development initiatives, and upgrades to the Ask Arlington app, which allows residents to report local concerns.
Addressing the mutual aspirations of Arlington's various neighborhood leaders, the Neighborhood Leadership Network (NLN) functions as a forum to bolster community leadership and provide tools for neighborhoods to meet their collective goals effectively. The upcoming meeting is not just about the dissemination of information; it's also about listening to leaders and recognizing that every block, every stretch of shade and concrete, contributes to the city's larger story.
