Memphis was jolted by a carjacking incident yesterday morning, where a victim found themselves at gunpoint, according to a report from the Memphis Police Department. The incident unfolded at the Elvis Presley Boulevard Inn, within the framework of the 2300 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard. At approximately 1:04 a.m., a male suspect engaged in a harrowing display of boldness, accosting the victim from behind.
The male forced her out of her 2011 Nissan Juke with the threat of a firearm, subsequently fleeing south on Elvis Presley Boulevard in the stolen vehicle. In a narrative sequence that preceded the attack, witnesses caught sight of a gray Nissan Hatchback parking in front of the business, potentially linked to the crime. The victim's Nissan Juke was later found abandoned, a ghost of its former journey, at the crossroads of Ferguson and Don Krag Road, as reported by the Memphis Police Department.
Described as a Black male, the assailant concealed his identity with a gray shirt wrapped around his face, further clad in a gray shirt and black pants. A handgun served as his instrument of intimidation. The public, now witnesses post-factum via the digital recounting of police records, are urged to contribute their knowledge if ample, calling Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH with any scrap of insight that could trace back to the suspect.
