Boston has its fair share of themed bars, but none quite encapsulate the charm of a cult-favorite cartoon the way the Drunken Clam pop-up does. Loyal fans of "Family Guy" now have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the animated world in a very tangible way—by visiting a replica of Peter Griffin's regular haunt in the basement of a popular Boston bar. According to WHDH, the experience is now open for fans to enjoy until September 21.

Bucket Listers Presents is the driving force behind the venture, bringing a slice of Quahog to Boston's West End Johnnie’s. “Well we had to bring it to the East Coast because of course we’re not far from Quahog, Rhode Island, so we hope that the fans are all here and ready to go,” Nyeri Stepanian, an Events and Experiences Operator for the company, told WHDH. The pop-up features prominent show locations such as Griffin’s living room and photo opportunities that place guests right into scenes from the beloved series.

This pop-up is no mere tribute; it's a detailed recreation, complete with a menu inspired by the show that ranges from the Griffin family living room to Stewie’s bedroom. As featured on Boston 25 News, visitors can also expect Easter egg sounds throughout the venue and themed nights including Family Guy trivia and karaoke, catering to the most ardent fans.

Famed for its comedic edge, the pop-up bar doesn’t shy away from the show’s sardonic humor in its menu offerings either. "Fans can expect to come into the Drunken Clam and enjoy their favorite libations that you may or may not have seen on the show," Stepanian explained to WHDH. Over on the culinary side, the 'No No No' drink—a nod to a classic Family Guy moment—stands out among the creations of Becky Brown, a "Chopped" champion and "MasterChef" finalist. The pop-up's dedication to detail promises an authentic taste of the series, replete with show references and a fictional cocktail menu.

Although the event just opened its doors, fervor for the pop-up is already high. WHDH reports that Maya Deborst, a self-professed "Family Guy" fan, is excited about the concept, stating that "it kind of gives you a chance to be in the show, kind of sort of." Meanwhile, tickets are moving fast; Boston 25 News indicates this weekend's tickets are sold out. Those eager to raise a glass in true Quahog style can secure their visit online, with the experience scheduled to run through late September.
