The city's efforts to support its aging population were showcased with the release of the 2024 Older Adult Services Annual Report, highlighting the comprehensive range of services provided to the community's seniors. "It’s an honor to serve the city’s older adult community with such an amazing array of services and programs," Eden Bailey, Older Adult Services Manager, said in a statement celebrating the achievements detailed in the document, which can be accessed via the City of Boulder.

With 7,440 community members taking advantage of the initiative, enrolling in a variety of programs designed to foster health, wellness, and continuous learning, Older Adult Services has seen a busy year, and this was reflected in the offerings, which comprised 1,410 programs out of which 1,364 were onsite and 46 online, creating accessible opportunities for all. Additionally, personalized support was provided to 749 clients through case management and information/assistance services, demonstrating a commitment to the holistic well-being of each senior.

Financial assistance also played a significant role in the initiative's operations last year, with the OAS distributing over $100,000 to help cover basic needs such as transportation, rental support, food security, and healthcare-related expenses. This critical assistance was complemented by the time and dedication of 74 volunteers, who altogether contributed 1,681 hours to bolster the efforts of the OAS programs.
