The Broomfield Community Center and Paul Derda Recreation Center are set for their annual maintenance shutdowns, according to a recent announcement from the City and County of Broomfield. Scheduled cleaning sprints and repairs mean these community hubs will be momentarily out of commission to ensure they remain top-notch for public enjoyment.
Here's the scoop: the Broomfield Community Center will be closing its doors from Monday, Aug. 11, to Sunday, Aug. 17, whereupon it will reopen on the following day, Monday, Aug. 18, with the caveat that there could potentially be further updates, but that's the plan for now. Every nook and cranny, from the gym equipment to the aquatics area, fitness studios to the conference rooms, will be getting some TLC during this period, as noted by the City and County of Broomfield.
Not to be outdone, the Paul Derda Recreation Center will follow suit with its closure stretching from Monday, Aug. 25, through Monday, Sept. 1, resuming regular operations on Tuesday, Sept. 2, just in time for those squeezing in final summer workouts or family swims before the back-to-school rush. All parts of the facility are included in the shutdown except for the Early Learning program, which will carry on with additional information provided specifically to families participating in the program, so keep an eye out for those personal updates if you're one of them.
