The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office recently celebrated the elevation of three of its members to the Deputy District Attorney rank, a milestone recognition that underscores their commitment to public service and law. DA Jennifer Schorn announced the promotions of Eric Alkon, Timothy W. Lutes, and David E. O’Beirne at a festive event last week, according to an official statement from the county's website.
Alkon, a Villanova University aficionado with degrees in Law and Philosophy, made his trek to the DA’s office in 2019 after a stint at a law firm and clerking for Judge Anthony S. Beltrami. As a new deputy, he puts his legal acumen to work within the Appellate Unit. Lutes, a fellow 2019 addition, holds accolades in Broadcasting from Temple University and a Law degree from Widener University. Not only does he contribute to the Appellate Unit but also, serves as the open records officer for the office. Last week, he notably snagged the office's annual Outstanding Performance Award, adding to the occasion’s revelry.
Lutes' peer, David E. O’Beirne, began his service in the DA’s office in 2020, quickly establishing his credentials as a vital player in the Special Victims Unit. With a diverse educational background encompassing Business, Law, and an MBA, O’Beirne tends to some of the community's most sensitive legal matters. Previous to his promotion, he too was recognized for excellence with the office’s award for Outstanding Performance in 2024.
These promotions highlight a shared pursuit of justice and exemplary service within the Bucks County legal apparatus. At the announcement event, each new Deputy District Attorney received a personalized pen set, a token reflecting their individual journeys and the cases they've championed. "Please join us in congratulating Deputy District Attorneys Alkon, Lutes, and O’Beirne on their well-deserved promotions!" urged the county's announcement.
