This latest development was shared after sustained law enforcement efforts by CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT), which concluded with the suspect's arrest last Tuesday.
The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed due to their juvenile status, is now facing charges connected to the death of Mr. Williams, in a case that continues to unfurl within the North Tryon community, where Williams's life was tragically cut short; the CMPD communicated that the deceased's next of kin were informed of this turn in the case.
