Illegal fireworks were taken, and cases are now being processed. “For those who chose not to comply with the law, administrative fines—starting at $1,000 per violation—are being issued,” the City of Citrus Heights said. Notices will be sent by mail.

The City of Citrus Heights issued a message recognizing the Police, Code Enforcement, and Animal Control staff who worked during the holiday to help maintain safety and order. City officials noted that community cooperation supported efforts to keep the city clean and safe.
