A Massachusetts man on probation is now facing several charges after a reported carjacking and assault at a Dairy Queen in West Boylston. The incident, described in a detailed West Boylston Police Department's post, took place at the #328 West Boylston Street location.
Officers Seymour and Willman arrived at the scene where they encountered a fifty-five year old woman who had been victimized. According to the victim, 26-year-old Cameron Jack Suarez of Clinton, MA approached her vehicle, claimed to have a gun, and threatened to shoot if she did not comply with his demands. Suarez then forcibly removed the victim from her car, causing her minor injuries in the process, before fleeing in the stolen vehicle. The victim received evaluation by the West Boylston Fire Department ambulance on site.
The West Boylston Police Department issued a be-on-the-lookout (B.O.L.O.) alert for the stolen car, which led to Suarez being spotted operating the vehicle later in Worcester and Leicester. He was apprehended in Oxford on Hartwell Rd. after a pursuit for his failure to stop. Currently, Suarez is being held at the Worcester County House of Correction, awaiting arraignment at Clinton District Court scheduled for today.
As disclosed by the authorities, Suarez is now being charged with carjacking, robbery, and assault and battery. It was also revealed that at a time of this incident, Suarez was under probation and had a warrant out for his arrest for the removal of an electronic monitoring device, which was a condition set by the Probation Department. These multiple offenses could lead to a significant escalation in the legal consequences Suarez faces.
