The event unfolded late on the night of July 27, prompting a law enforcement response to reported gunfire at approximately 10:53 p.m. Upon their arrival at the scene, at 3401 Green Street, officers found no victims or damages beyond an abandoned car that bore the signs of a skirmish, according to a press release by the Delaware State Police.
The vehicle, a white Hyundai Sonata left in drive, was discovered on Green Street with evidence of damage from a projectile. the aftermath of a swift exodus, it seems the car was left behind by 3-4 individuals who vacated the premises at speed in varying directions after the shooting occurrence. No injuries were reported, and further damages in the vicinity have not been disclosed.
Detectives from Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit are undertaking a closer examination of the details and seek public help.
