The Detroit Police Department is actively searching for a missing 68-year-old woman, DeAnder Bonz, who was last seen on Tuesday, leaving her residence in the 500 block of Chandler Street. ClickOnDetroit reports that Bonz is missing and has not yet returned home. She was wearing a black and pink dress along with dark pants, and she used a walker for assistance.
According to her caregiver, Bonz is challenged with managing bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and diabetes. These health concerns add a heightened sense of urgency to locate her safely and promptly. The Detroit police are urging anyone with knowledge of Bonz's whereabouts to quickly come forward with that information. Bonz is described as 5'8", weighing 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
An appeal for assistance has also been posted on the Detroit Police Department's social media. The post includes a contact number for the 3rd Precinct and emphasizes the immediate need for any helpful information. "Please help us find missing DeAnder Bonz. If you have any information, please call Detroit's 3rd Precinct at (313) 596-1340 or 911," said the Facebook plea.
