A Dorchester woman was arrested Tuesday morning following a stabbing incident in Mattapan, Boston police reported. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Kimberly Murray-Moore of Dorchester, is now facing multiple charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Boston Police Department states the arrest was made subsequent to an early morning conflict that left another woman with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the police report, officers were called to the scene near Morton Street and Blue Hill Avenue around 5:40 a.m. after the report of the stabbing reached them. Found near the B-3 station on Rhodes Street, the victim had been apparently stabbed while waiting at a bus stop. The suspect had fled, but based on a description given, Murray-Moore was later found hiding behind a vehicle at a nearby gas station attempting to crouch.

During the arrest, police state that Murray-Moore "actively resisted" and is alleged to have assaulted two officers, striking one in the chest and the other in the face. The officers involved in the apprehension did not sustain any injuries in the altercation. Murray-Moore, after being taken to District D-4, initially refused to be processed as well.

Aside from the recent charges for the stabbing, the Dorchester woman has a previous warrant issued by Dorchester District Court for an incident on June 23, compounding her legal troubles. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court, where she will face the charges stemming from both the recent event and the outstanding warrant.
