As of now, participants can earn industry-recognized certifications in Flagger and Forklift Operation, a critical step for those interested in joining various in-demand industries and often overlooked by society. Designed with the understanding that a straight path does not always lead out of incarceration to a stable job, the initiative aspires to reduce recidivism and foster long-term positive outcomes. According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, additional certifications are also in the pipeline to meet the evolving job market needs and the participants' interests.
Beyond the hands-on training, the program also includes vital job readiness skills like resume writing, interview preparation, and workplace communication.
