
An 18-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly shooting his 18-year-old girlfriend during a confrontation in a vehicle in Ewa Beach last Friday. He is facing charges of second-degree assault, illegal possession of a pistol, and obstruction of reporting an emergency. Police and paramedics responded to Kapolei Parkway around 7 p.m. and found the girl with a gunshot wound to her lower body. EMS said she was shot at a different location before being brought there. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, as reported by KITV.
The Honolulu Police Department arrested a suspect at 7:21 p.m., shortly after responding to the scene of a shooting involving a teenage victim. According to Hawaii News Now, the police chief confirmed during a press conference that the victim’s boyfriend was the shooter. Authorities have not released further details about the suspect.
