The local police department shared details of an arrest that began with a dispute over a security deposit and ended with the capture of a stabbing suspect. Last Saturday, Fairfield Police Officers Reyna and Brownridge were called to Motel 6 on Holiday Lane, responding to a distressing situation: an employee had been imprisoned in her office by two men. The suspects, later identified as Stuart Parish, 31, and Gleen Dunn, 62, had fled upon officers' arrival.
While the reason behind their prompt departure remained unclear, the officers moved fast, following leads to a nearby Raley's. There, they stumbled upon the men still lingering in the area. According to the Fairfield, CA Police Department's social media post, upon their commitment to duty and some detective work, Parish and Dunn were detained and taken into custody.
Further investigation peeled back the layers of a more sinister deed. Dunn resembled the suspect from a violent encounter at Food Maxx on Independence Day. That evening, an individual engaged in an altercation with employees after he was advised against eating food inside the store. During the debacle, a worker was stabbed, and emergency services were called in. Although the attacker fled the scene, the police were given a description matching Dunn the following day: same attire and a unique earring.
