The Camarillo farm was not the only location targeted on that day; a similar federal operation was conducted at the company's Carpinteria site. Glass House Farms, which holds multiple active licenses to cultivate cannabis, indicated they fully complied with the ICE agents' search warrants. With recent increases in immigration enforcement across Southern California, these raids have drawn scrutiny and public outcry, as noted by KTLA. The activation of the National Guard to protect federal properties added another layer of tension to these events.
During the tumult at Camarillo, no individuals were reported injured by gunfire; nevertheless, medical assistance was needed for other injuries. Ventura County firefighter-paramedics took numerous people to hospitals for tear gas-related ailments. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott disclosed that among those detained during the operation were 10 undocumented minors. U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli released a statement, which included a video of the suspected shooter and details of the FBI's $50,000 reward offer. Essayli said, "FBI has issued a $50,000 award for information leading to the conviction of an Unknown Subject who appeared to fire a pistol at Federal Law Enforcement Officers near Camarillo," as shared within a post on social media.
