Former SEPTA officer Brian Zenszer was sentenced to a term of 12 years in federal prison for his guilty plea on charges involving child pornography. According to the announcement by United States Attorney David Metcalf, the sentencing occurred after Zenszer admitted to both possession and distribution of illicit material.

As reported by the official website of Bucks County, the disgraced ex-officer not only distributed a visual depiction of a minor but also possessed a Samsung cellular phone containing images of minors, some prepubescent, in sexually explicit conduct. This all unfolded while Zenszer, aged 44, a Warminster, Pennsylvania resident, was under the very banner of law enforcement he was expected to uphold.

The indictment that shattered any facade of propriety surrounding Zenszer came in December 2024, leading to a guilty plea in April on one count each of distribution and possession of child pornography. It was on July 21, 2024, and again on November 6 of the same year, the now-convicted former officer engaging in the appalling acts later confessed to.

The breakthrough in the case came via two CyberTips to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning two Kik messaging app accounts linked to uploads of suspected child pornography files. "Investigators determined both accounts belonged to Zenszer," a key discovery that led to his downfall, as noted by Bucks County. Following justice served, Zenszer faces not only a significant prison sentence but also seven years of supervised release and a restitution amount of $32,000.
