Folks in Fort Collins who have a date with the Municipal Court's online payment system may need to reassess their plans. Starting Monday, July 21, the court’s system will be out of commission until noon, August 4, due to an upgrade transitioning to a new case management system, according to the City of Fort Collins.
This interruption means that, for those two weeks, any fines or tickets due will have to be settled using decidedly old-school methods: in person, by mail, or by using the drop box located at the north entrance of 215 N. Mason St because although the digital path is temporarily blocked, payment deadlines remain steadfast, and are not taking a break while the system gets a facelift.
To add to the digital downtime, the court will also physically close its doors for two days at the end of July. On Thursday, July 31, and Friday, August 1, no court appearances will take place, a preventive measure to allow time for the transition to the new system, and all these appearances have been rescheduled in advance to accommodate the temporary hiatus.
