In tragic news out of Hickory, authorities are on the hunt for 30-year-old James David Houser, the alleged perpetrator behind the fatal shooting of Mary Elizabeth Ervin. According to the WCNC, Ervin, 30, was discovered deceased at the Deluxe Inn, located on Highway 70 Southwest. She was found on Friday evening, having succumbed to a gunshot wound.
Hickory Police officers, responding to a call concerning an unresponsive woman at around 6 p.m. at the motel, found Ervin dead inside one of the rooms. In a report by QC News, James David Houser is currently the subject of a murder warrant. Spotted leaving the motel in question, anyone with knowledge about Houser's whereabouts is urged to contact the authorities.
The investigation was launched following the event on Friday, as stated by WHKY. The victim, a local of Hickory named Mary Elizabeth Ervin, was tragically found with a fatal injury caused by a firearm. The Hickory Police Department has released an image of the suspect, Houser, to aid in their search and are appealing to the public for any relevant information.
