
A 29-year-old woman was arrested last Saturday evening after a vehicle crash in Honolulu. She was taken into custody for driving under the influence and assaulting an officer during the incident, as reported by the Honolulu Police Department.
A woman was arrested on Ala Moana Boulevard near Koula Street just before 8:30 p.m. after a vehicle crash, as stated by the Honolulu Police Department. Officers from District 1 found the woman behaving disorderly and believed she was intoxicated. While trying to arrest her for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of an Intoxicant and Disorderly Conduct, she resisted and reportedly bit an officer.
An officer was treated and released from a nearby hospital after being injured during the incident. The woman involved is now facing additional charges, including Resisting Arrest and Assault Against a Law Enforcement Officer in the First Degree. According to the Honolulu Police Department on their Facebook page, "Charges will be sought with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney's office." The case is now moving forward through the legal process.
