Keller Regional Park is about to show off its new look with the grand reopening of its Tuj Lub courts following a $2.5 million facelift. The park enhancements, funded by the Metropolitan Council Equity Grant alongside the Legacy Amendment’s Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund and Parks & Trails Fund, aim to deliver a more inclusive and culturally enriched space for the public. According to Ramsey County's announcement, these upgrades are designed not only to boost recreational opportunities but also to strengthen community ties.

The extensive renovations have added a fourth throwing lane to the Tuj Lub courts to accommodate more players, and artificial turf has been laid down to up the game. Brighter lighting is now in place to keep the action going even after sundown, and there is expanded seating for those cheering from the sidelines. A new shelter has also been added to the park to provide space for gatherings and events. Plus, a pair of multi-use courts have been built to cater to other sports such as Sepak Takraw, volleyball, and badminton, showing the park's commitment to broadly catering to different athletic tastes.

Festivities for the grand reopening are scheduled for September 20, 2025. Slated to be a morning affair from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the event plans to get underway with speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and Tuj Lub demonstrations where attendees can try directly to engage with the sport. Once the formalities conclude, visitors can roam the various vendor booths, take part in family-friendly activities, or simply hang out and enjoy the refurbished courts.

While the celebration was originally planned for July, organizers had to quickly adapt and push back the date. Ramsey County's page now confirms that the event will take place in September instead, allowing visitors more time to plan their attendance. Rest assured, all other event specifics are staying the same, and the county assures that they will continue to update the public as the day draws closer.
