The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas is accepting adopters for rabbits rescued from a dumping site in northwest Las Vegas. The shelter first took in 11 rabbits and expects the number to grow to 30 as more are brought in from the location, as reported by KTNV.

Nearly 100 rabbits found in a neighborhood are now available for adoption after The Animal Foundation and a local rescue group stepped in. Residents had difficulty caring for the rabbits due to their large number and health concerns. The Animal Foundation said, "Rabbits are social, active, playful, and affectionate," and noted they can live 8 to 12 years. The rabbits need a specific diet of hay, vegetables, and pellets, along with regular grooming and time outside their cages, according to 8 News Now.

The Animal Foundation reminds the public that caring for a rabbit requires space, close attention, and a veterinarian familiar with rabbit care. People interested in adopting can visit The Animal Foundation’s website to learn more about the rabbits available.
