
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in a fatal hit-and-run investigation involving 81-year-old Margaret Brown. The incident happened on June 13, at around 9:57 p.m. at the intersection of Grand Canyon Drive and Desert Inn Road. Brown was crossing in a marked crosswalk when she was hit. Police say the vehicle involved may be a dark-colored 2016 to 2019 Nissan Sentra, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Brown was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street with the pedestrian signal. The driver did not stop and left the scene. She was taken to University Medical Center and died three days later. This marked the 78th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction this year, as detailed by Hoodline.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on their Facebook page, the Collision Investigation Section is looking for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a woman named Brown. Police released updated video footage and are asking anyone with information to call the LVMPD Traffic Collision Investigation Section at (702) 828-3595 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 for anonymous tips. Informants may receive a reward if the tip leads to a felony arrest or indictment. The vehicle, a Nissan Sentra, was identified through witness statements and evidence found at the scene.
