The “Lilo & Stitch” franchise’s latest installment has brought new attention to its young stars, including eight-year-old Maia Kealoha, who said she now gets recognized in stores “like five thousand times.” Kealoha, along with Sydney Agudong and Tia Carrere, attended San Diego’s Comic-Con 2025 to promote the film’s digital release. Agudong described the movie as “an ode to Hawaii,” noting its cultural significance, according to Spectrum Local News.
The film “Lilo & Stitch” has passed the billion-dollar mark at the box office. Tia Carrere said, “Our little blue friend Stitch is now a billionaire and we couldn't be more excited about it,” as per Hawaii Public Radio.
Fans are looking forward to a possible sequel, though nothing has been confirmed. Sydney Agudong used the Hawaiian phrase “hana hou” to show the cast’s interest in returning, while Carrere said a follow-up is neither confirmed nor denied, as mentioned by Hawaii Public Radio.
