The search continues in Livingston County for 85-year-old Jerry Spaulding, who was reported missing after going for his usual walk in the woods last Saturday. According to Audacy, the Livingston County Sheriff's Office stated that Spaulding is a white male, 5'8" tall, weighing 160 pounds, with gray hair. He was last seen wearing a red and green western-style shirt, blue jeans, and work boots. Authorities are asking the public to share any information that could help in locating him.
Despite extensive efforts, Spaulding remains unlocated. Search teams thoroughly covered a 40-acre area surrounding his home last Saturday night, and attempts to resume early Sunday have now expanded to almost 100 acres, as reported by Livingston Daily. The Sheriff's Office, bolstered by additional teams from Oakland and Lapeer Counties, is strategically combing through the area on foot with the aid of ATVs, drones, police dogs, and even a helicopter to intensively search for any sign of the missing elderly man.
Authorities stress that the few leads obtained so far have been insufficient to pinpoint his whereabouts. His sister, who reported him missing, last saw him heading out for his walk around 4:45 p.m. As per report by WILX, Spaulding was heading toward the woods near Argentine Road, north of Brophy Road in Oceola Township.
Amid ongoing concerns for Jerry Spaulding’s safety, the Livingston County Sheriff's Office has affirmed that search efforts will continue. Authorities are again asking for the public’s help and urge anyone who may have seen Spaulding or has relevant information to contact 517-546-9111.
