According to CBS17, the incident occurred just before 1 a.m. at a residence in the 500 block of Riddle Avenue, where approximately 25 people were celebrating Independence Day. The victim, a 33-year-old man, was found with a gunshot wound to his leg inside the home.
Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound at the scene. He was transported to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill for treatment. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening, as detailed by law enforcement officials in a news release obtained by ABC11.
