In a significant drug bust on Michigan's I-75, Michigan State Police intercepted a shipment of cocaine with an estimated value of $1.8 million. The seizure occurred in Monroe County when a 2018 Kenworth truck tractor was pulled over after failing to stop at a weigh station checkpoint, as reported by CBS News Detroit.

According to ClickOnDetroit, the stop was conducted around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday by officers who were working the northbound weigh station in French Township. The Ontario-based driver, a 26-year-old male, was reportedly returning from Ohio and was en route to Canada. Officers obtained consent to thoroughly search the vehicle and found the contraband hidden in four U-Haul cardboard boxes containing a total of 70 vacuum-sealed packages in the trailer's storage compartment.

The driver, upon his arrest, denied any knowledge of the drugs found in his truck. He is now facing charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine over 1,000 grams. As stated by WLNS, the street value of the cocaine is based on variable kilo prices ranging from $13,000 to $26,000.
