The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is calling for public support in the search for Icies Allen, a 16-year-old girl from Milwaukee who disappeared on June 18. WTMJ reports that Allen may still be in the Milwaukee area. Allen is described as a black teenager with black curly hair, often styled into braids, brown eyes, and a small black scar under one eye. She's also battling severe asthma, increasing the urgency of her search.
The situation has unfolded into a deeply worrying ordeal for Allen's family. With an interview with WISN 12 News, which revealed that Allen's parents believe she is with a man nearly twice her age, whom she met online. The severity, of the predicament lies not just in her age, but in the troubling power dynamics at play - her mother, Paris Allen, anguishedly pointing out that “As you being an adult, you knew that wasn't right.” Allen's father, Emmanuel Allen, echoed the sentiment, describing his daughter as wanting to appear grown-up, yet falling prey to an exploitative situation.
Adding to the anxiety, police have yet to classify the case as a critical missing person despite it being uncharacteristic for Allen to leave for such an extended period, particularly not with an adult male. WISN 12 News shared information about the tips received from the public and a recent call the family received where Icies indicated she was okay but refused to disclose her location.
Paris Allen has made a direct appeal to her daughter. "I love you, and I hope that you’re safe," she said, in sentiments obtained by WTMJ. The last time Icies Allen was seen was near 75th and Green Tree Road, wearing a white shirt, black leggings, and Crocs, according to details from FOX6Now. This detail, is crucial for those in the area who may have seen her. The community is urged to report any information they may have regarding Icies Allen's disappearance.
