The Philadelphia Police Department has successfully located Kyree S. Weaver, a missing juvenile from the 26th District, who was last seen last Saturday. The department had previously issued an urgent call to the public to aid in finding the 14-year-old. Kyree was reported to have been last seen at 6:30 PM on the 20xx block of E. Huntingdon Street, according to a public plea for assistance posted on the Philadelphia Police Department's news blotter.
The young teen, described as standing 5'1" and weighing 120 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes, had been last spotted wearing a white tank top and distinctive yellow "Ralph Lauren Polo" swim shorts with a green logo and trim, alongside black New Balance sneakers. Community members were encouraged to come forward with any information to help to quickly and safely locate Kyree. In the efforts to find him, East Detectives had opened a hotline at 215-686-3243 for tips.
The circumstances surrounding Kyree's disappearance and recovery have not been fully detailed by law enforcement. In an update posted to the Philadelphia Police Department’s official blotter, authorities confirmed that Kyree is now back home. However, few specifics were provided, and it remains unclear whether community tips played a role in locating him. More information may be shared as deemed appropriate, following what is often an intense and private reunion for the family.
