Mooresville’s third installment of the Annual Bands, Brews & BBQ Festival is ready to rock the Downtown area this September. An event that's as much about savory sauces and suds as it is about soulful soundtracks, it has managed to carve out a significant niche in the Lake Norman festival scene. On September 13, 2025, from 4 to 9 p.m., Liberty Park will again pulse to the beats of local and national acts, simmer with the scents of Southern BBQ, and flow with the crafts of regional brewers. As announced by the Town of Mooresville, the festival, made possible by the sponsorship of composite manufacturing leader deBotech, Inc., remains a free event open to the whole family.
Since the festival's 2023 inception, it's notched up both recognition and attendees. It even snagged the “Rising Star Award” in 2024, a nod to its innovation and local love, according to the North Carolina Association of Festivals and Events. With over 20 BBQ food trucks lined up, this year's festivities aim to dish out more than just your average pulled-pork plate. Mouth-watering brisket, ribs, and a slew of Southern staples will be available for culinary indulgence, said the town’s announcement.
Music is a cornerstone of this bash, and 2025's roster reads like a who's who of must-hear bands. From the regional DialUp Radio opening the stage to headliners Jefferson Starship and Night Ranger, this lineup promises to pack a punch. Jefferson Starship continues to enthrall fans with hits like “We Built This City,” while Night Ranger will be revving up the crowd with 80's anthems that have the power to, as per their own lyrics, still “Rock in America.”
Parents fret not, because there’s ample entertainment for the mini rockers too. The Family Fun Zone, brought to life by Piedmont Healthcare, includes a slew of rides, games, and interactive activities to keep the youngsters busy. And let’s not forget the B3 Beer Garden where grown-ups can imbibe local craft selections, including a special Ghostface Brewing concoction, with proceeds pitching into the U.S. Bobsled Team's coffers.
The local business scene will get a boost from this shindig, particularly the craft beer industry, signaling Mooresville's growth in this hip sector. But it’s not just about enjoying the hops-based beverages; it’s about community and commerce blooming side by side. The spotlight also falls on Mooresville’s own deBotech, known internationally for manufacturing Olympic bobsleds and giving back to the sporting community. It's a unique blend, much like the festival itself – mixing swoon-worthy eats, beats, and treats, all pulled together in a day of well-crafted merriment.
If you're keen on an evening of unforgettable melodies, lip-smacking meals, and clinking glasses amidst a crowd of cheerful attendees, head on over to Liberty Park. Just follow the smoky BBQ trails and strains of classic rock – it's where you'll want to be in the heart of Downtown Mooresville this fall. All ages are welcome, and no tickets are necessary for this burgeoning hometown tradition.
