
North Las Vegas marked the fifth graduation of the Community Approach to Rehabilitation and Engagement Veterans Treatment Court. Eight veterans completed the program, which offers structured rehabilitation as an alternative to traditional court proceedings. The program is designed to assist veterans facing criminal charges related to trauma and substance use, according to the City of North Las Vegas.
Graduates have completed the North Las Vegas Veterans Treatment Court program, joining those who finished before them. The program requires at least one year of participation, including weekly case management meetings, therapy, and job training. It is designed to provide rehabilitation for veterans and reduce recidivism while supporting public safety and community reintegration, as reported by the City of North Las Vegas.
The City of North Las Vegas held a ceremony for graduates of the Community Approach to Rehabilitation and Engagement program, which provides services including housing assistance for veterans. Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown, Mayor Pro Tempore Scott Black, and Councilmembers Isaac Barron and Ruth Garcia-Anderson attended the event.
