A shooting early Tuesday morning in southeast Las Vegas left two men injured. Police responded to a call about gunfire at 12:05 a.m. on the 3900 block of Mountain Vista Street, near Flamingo Road. When officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds, according to News 3 LV.
One man died at the hospital after the shooting. Lieutenant Steven Riback said the incident appeared to be isolated and there was no ongoing threat to the public. He added that detectives were still working to determine how the people involved were connected.
8 News Now reported that several people were inside the home during the incident. The connection between the two men who were shot is not yet known. "LVMPD officers quickly arrived and located two subjects with gunshot wounds," Lt. Steve Ribeck said. He added that the situation appeared to be limited to the residence. This is the second homicide investigation in the area within a few hours. Police said everyone involved has been accounted for.
