The Cleveland Metroparks Police Chief Kelly Stillman indicated that the first victim was swiftly administered first aid before being transported to University Hospitals, but he succumbed to his injuries, the severity of life marked by the violence that took him. As reported by WKYC, a second individual, also sustaining a gunshot wound, sought medical attention at MetroHealth Hospital and is expected to recover from his non-life-threatening injuries.
