
Mayor Cherelle L. Parker of Philadelphia has a busy day scheduled for Friday, July 18, 2025, as she is set to make appearances at three significant city events. First on the agenda is attending the Philadelphia Police Department’s Graduation Ceremony, where Recruit Classes 410 and 411 will see 89 new officers joining the force. The ceremony will take place at Temple Performing Arts Center, located at 1837 N. Broad Street, according to the Mayor's public schedule.
In the spirit of the game we love, Mayor Parker will also participate in the MLB Kickoff “2026 All-Star Declaration” Pep Rally at Dilworth Park, 1 S 15th Street. The event, heralding the 2026 All-Star Game, promises a day filled with fanfare and the unveiling of the new All-Star Game logo, setting the mood for next year’s baseball festivities in the city.
Concluding her eventful day, Mayor Parker will direct her focus on local commerce at the inaugural Small Business Summit & Expo. This event is a collaborative effort by the Mayor's Office of Muslim Engagement and the Department of Commerce to bolster small businesses in Philadelphia. Taking place at the Howard Gittis Student Center, 1755 N. 13th Street, Mayor Parker will address the importance of municipal resources in sustaining and growing local ventures, the official press release stated.
