
The Philadelphia Police Department is actively seeking a suspect involved in a shooting incident that left a School District Public Safety Officer critically injured. The incident occurred last Sunday morning around 1:47 a.m. on the 300 block of N. Christopher Columbus Boulevard, according to the Police Department's official news bulletin.
The responding officers discovered the victim, a Public Safety Officer, within his marked vehicle, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the severity of the attack, the officer's will to survive prevailed, and he was rushed to the hospital; nonetheless, the urgency of the situation demands public attention and assistance to apprehend the assailant. As per the police report, the suspect is a Hispanic male featuring a bowl-type haircut and was last seen wearing a red or orange shirt.
The alleged shooter was reported to have been operating a white 2017-19 Kia Sportage. Law enforcement officials have provided a video of the suspect and are urging anyone with information on the suspect's identity or whereabouts to step forward.
