Attention commuters: if you're planning to use the St. Philip Park and Ride today, you'll need to shift gears. The lot is off-limits due to activities at the St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, according to an announcement from Plymouth Metrolink. Those who typically park there for transit will need to make alternative arrangements.
Rerouting due to the closure, Plymouth's Route 776 won't be taking its usual course. Plymouth's official site states that the detour will affect both morning and evening commutes. In the morning, eastbound buses will turn right on County Road 6, then left on Olive Lane N., throwing a curve with a left on 14th Avenue N. before getting back on track. A detour, engulfed by the blush of dawn, will accompany our westward journey home – buses will head left on 14th Avenue N., make a right onto Olive Lane N., then a right on County Road 6, and finally a left back onto County Road 101 to rejoin the regular route.
For those affected by the closures, alternate parking is available at the Messiah United Methodist Church located at 17805 County Road 6. Specific instructions direct riders to the east side of the parking lot, closer to Olive Lane, to find a spot. This site will serve as the temporary launch point for your daily transit.
If you find yourself grappling with questions or need more information, Plymouth Metrolink encourages riders to get in touch. For language assistance, Nur Kasin, Transit Administrator, is available at 763-509-5013 or [email protected]. Additionally, if there are any lingering doubts or needs for clarification, the transit team can be reached at [email protected] or by calling 763-509-5535. Drivers, navigating the tangle of workday commutes, should reach out sooner rather than later to tie up any loose ends that the detour may unravel.
