The Plymouth Police Department has recently released a rundown of their activity last week, offering a glimpse into the routine goings-on of local law enforcement. In a social media post from their official account, the department listed a total of 804 incidents which included 11 arrests, 16 criminal complaints, and 36 motor vehicle accidents among others. The post read, "Here’s a snapshot of the calls and incidents we responded to during the week of July 13, 2025- July 19, 2025."
In addition to the aforementioned figures, the police force was notably active in managing 57 traffic stops and responding to 37 house and building alarms. Not less significant were the 22 disturbances handled, an indication that not all in the suburban idyl may always be as quiet as one would to generally believe. Acknowledgment was also made of the "49 accidental 911 calls" received, offering a reminder of the sometimes less emergent tasks that occupy law enforcement bandwidth.
The department’s report also underscored more proactive aspects of their service, denoting 36 incidences of investigating suspicious activities and a rather high number, 83, of medical, mental, and wellbeing checks. In a display of appreciation, the police message concluded with, "Thank you to our officers for their dedication and to our community for your support! Stay safe." This expression of mutual respect between the force and the populace they serve is emblematic of a community-engagement approach many departments are looking to foster.
Community response to the post was largely supportive, with residents taking to the comments section to express their gratitude. Such regular updates from the Plymouth Police Department align with a broader push for transparency and public engagement by law enforcement agencies nationwide.
