Queen Creek is charting new territories with its first collector roundabout at Crismon and Cloud, an addition that comes as part of the town's commitment to refining its transportation infrastructure. This roundabout, according to Queen Creek's official announcement, is set to enhance traffic flow and safety, situated strategically to service the area's latest high school and to address the community's traffic concerns, which Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley emphasized in a statement obtained by the town's news release.

The roundabout's debut coincides with the extension of Crismon Road, from Cloud to Riggs, which are now both accessible to the public, aiming to alleviate the congestion that often clutters during peak hours when school starts and ends; the Federal Highway Administration endorses such structures for their potential to mitigate severe accidents. In conjunction with the Arizona Department of Transportation (AZDOT), residents are advised on roundabout navigation—priority goes to those within the circle, and the approach must be at a reduced velocity, specifically around 15 mph. Patience must be exercised when waiting for a safe gap to enter the flow.

The collaboration between the design firm Ardurra and Achen-Gardner Construction brought this project to fruition. Notable acknowledgments were given to Cindy Barnes, the Jorde Family, and Hastings Farms for their dedicated right-of-way contributions that made this construction possible.
