The halls of Rio Grande Campus's A & B Buildings will soon echo with the familiar sounds of students and faculty once more, as air conditioning woes begin to thaw. According to EPCC News, cooling has been restored after a brief interruption in HVAC service, enabling classes and regular activities to resume on Monday, July 21st.
This return to normalcy comes after an interruption that tested the patience of both students and educators alike. In a statement released by the educational institution, the administration expressed gratitude for the community's understanding, saying, "Thank you for your patience & understanding," as per EPCC News. It's a sentiment that seems to be shared across the campus spectrum, as faculty have worked around the inconvenience, and students have had to adapt to temporary changes in their learning environment.
The college has not yet fully completed the HVAC/cooling system repairs, but the progress made thus far was enough to greenlight the reopening of the buildings. This promises a relieving change for the upcoming academic sessions, which, until recently, were shrouded in the uncertainty of sweltering conditions.
